In order to setup your Bay College password and required MFA, you can follow these steps:

Navigate to the myBay portal password manager: https://mybay.baycollege.edu/ICS/Password_Manager.jnz

If this is your first time ever attending Bay College, you will need to select the “First Time Login”, which will then prompt you to enter in your Bay College email address (your username provided in your acceptance letter followed by @baycollege.edu):

The default password to sign in is in your acceptance letter:

If you were able to type this in successfully, you will get a prompt to update. Please note that your password will need to be at least 8 characters long, with an uppcase, lowercase, number and/or a symbol, and can’t contain any part of your name:

If the password change is successful, you will get a “More information required” box. Please hit “Next”:

You will be required to expand and view the terms of use policies before being allowed to hit “Accept”. If you Decline, you will not be allowed to use technology that falls under the perview of Bay College.

Once you have accepted the policies, you will then be prompted to setup MFA, select “Continue”:

You will then have several options on how to setup MFA. The default prompt will be to use the Microsoft Authenticator app which you can download to any mobile device:

If you decided to install the application, you will need to setup the app with your Bay College email and then wait until you are prompted the option to Scan for QR Code/ Select “Next” for the code you need to show up:

Please note that most newer iPhone and Android devices have QR code reading built-in to the native camera app and that you shouldn’t need to install a 3rd party scanner for the Authenticator app to recognize the prompted code. Once scanned, your MFA setup is complete and you will be able to access your Bay College email or Microsoft products. If you lose or replace that device, you will have to contact IT to reset your MFA.

You can also setup a phone number instead of the Microsoft Authenticator app. Please note that if you use an office phone or landline, you can select the prompt to call that number instead of recieving a text message code:

Once you have completed your MFA setup, you will be redirected to the Microsoft Copilot page. From here, you can access Outlook and OneDrive by pressing the ‘Apps’ button in the sidebar:

If this isn’t your first time setting up an account or you have forgotten your password, you can select the “Reset Password” option, which will bring up your default MFA you previously setup in the following screenshots:

If you attended previously but no longer have access to your MFA option or weren’t required to setup one at the time, you will need to contact the IT department for us to further assist you:
